Sinopsis momentánea en inglés: Kazuko (Ayako Wakao), an automobile designer still living with her father and sister, is deeply ambivalent about relationships with men, even though she harbors secret feelings for the man she’s technically arranged to marry, Hanjiro (Kenji Sugawara.) She asks her friend Umeko (Machiko Kyo) to break off the engagement on her behalf…but Umeko has plans of her own. A comedy of romantic errors that doubles as a send-up of Ozu’s 1950s late style.
