Japanese Hell
A young girl Rika finds herself mixed up in Aum,the cult responsible for the the sarin gas attack on Japan’s subway system. As a result, her soul teeters on the edge of hell. The Queen of Hell pays her a visit and grants her a glimpse of what’s in store for her in hell. Soon she’s tumbling into the fiery abyss, bearing witness to sinners mercilessly suffering in a manner befitting their sins.
JAPANESE HELL is a trashy cult film about a cult group and cult favorite Hell. The film feels like it is two films in one. One is a tour of hell film and the other is an exploitation of the Aum Shinrikyo cult (Remember the sarin gas incident in the subway of Japan? That’s them). After little research, I discovered that it really is combined two films in one. Director Teruo Ishii merged two projects when the financing fell through on one of them. As a result it doesn’t work too well as a film. And it is trashy.

Me pareció una película un tanto extraña. En su primera parte parece un extraño cruce entre cine negro con algún ligero tinte de comedia y en su parte final (cuando los personajes llegan al infierno) se cambia de registro por una atmósfera extraña, oscura y bastante gore. A mi me gustó pero me pareció un tanto irregular.
Quizás esta sea un "remake" porque la que yo digo creo que era mucho mas antigua (de los setenta mínimo).

Supongo que te estarás refiriendo a la de Nobuo Nakagawa de 1960, que es relativamente conocida:
